Since my full time racing comeback times have been very hard, it has been a much tougher challenge than I ever believed but in reality should have expected.

I started off in March at the start of the 2008 season with Weymouth in the National league or third division of speedway. A shaky start but gradual progress was the storey for much of the season until a few guest bookings in the Premier League towards the later third of the season came my way.

This led to Premier League racing full time for Mildenhall and through no fault of my own I subsequently lost my place at Weymouth. I finished the season strong and felt like real progress had been made.

The winter was long and hard and I was busy working as a long distance lorry driver, a job I still do throughout the season. I made it to Scunthorpe for a bitterly cold practice session and was a regular at the gym.

I had three offers to ride for clubs in the National league and when it came to signing time Bournemouth stepped in and offered me the dream fresh start.

I signed for them and soon after also signed for Workington in the Premier League, a move I hadn’t planned on but took none the less.

The season started in March and I had big hopes, again it was a shaky start but this time it never seemed to get going, I was travelling hundreds of miles every week just for home meetings and with my job it all took its toll.

By the time it got to mid May Bournemouth released me to concentrate on my Workington commitments only for them to let me go two days later, I was team less.

After just a few days my old boss from Stoke, John Adams now of Mildenhall as of 2009 called me and asked me to join him and his team. Once again Mildenhall were there to take me in but this time in the National league and with half a season left.

Once back at Mildenhall I picked up from where I left off the previous season, I felt at home and had some good races and meetings, just the odd mistake and consistency let me down from time to time. We finished the season with a good solid team and were winning matches, I had more guest bookings in the Premier League and have decided to race for Mildenhall again in 2010 this time starting with them and will be hoping for a big strong season.

Its been really tough since I made my comeback and having fans like you makes a big difference so I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your support, I hope you had/have a very Merry Christmas and a successful New Year.
